So you’ve made the decision to become a foster parent and continue forward on this journey. Let us be the first ones to thank you, truly. If you haven’t already, your next step will be to connect to your local child welfare agency, fill out some paperwork in order to become licensed, and begin your local agency’s training program. The length of time to complete the training varies from county to county. You can find your local agency and learn more by going to your state’s foster care site.
While you’re still here, we want to share a few tips to help you become the kind of foster parent that children and families need!
